After a period of stagnation, geothermal hiring is on the rise, with managerial positions leading the charge in our job board this week. East Africa's vast 20,000 MW geothermal capacity offers immense renewable energy potential. Is this the turning point for geothermal development in the region?

• Many of the roles are based in major cities however, positions like Area Business Managers and Cluster Officers in smaller towns (e.g., Mbarara, Kiboga, Nanyuki, Eldoret) indicate growing rural market penetration.

• While geothermal takes off, solar is dominating hiring in Africa. This is evidenced by the prevalence of companies like Sun King, SunCulture, Scatec Solar, and Juwi leading the rapid expansion of the solar energy sector.
